Winter Skin Care: A Rejuvenating Ritual.
In winter, the garden enters a sort of dormant state, and the same is true for our skin—except that these days we don’t shut ourselves indoors until spring, but rather maintain and even ramp up our hectic pace of activity.
The winter solstice marks the beginning of a cycle, and even if we aren’t aware of it, the skin—a complex organism whose mission is to remain constantly attuned to external changes—“knows” that we are entering a new season.
Since nature is the wisest, we can draw inspiration from garden care to design a skincare ritual that will help our skin cope with the cold, sudden temperature changes, and the effects of heating systems… It’s about taking advantage of this cycle to renew ourselves and prepare for the months ahead, when there will be less light and more focus on inner life.

7 is our lucky number, so the proposal is a 7-step renewal ritual for skin wellness in tune with the season, using primarily water, oil, and botanicals.
1. Remove impurities and dead skin cells; winter is a harsh time for the skin, so you must prepare it to withstand the harsh weather without damage. Therefore, the first step is a good exfoliation session using Black soap cream and a Kessa glove .We’ll start by taking a hot shower to open the pores. With the skin still wet, we’ll apply the Black soap cream pall over the body, face, and scalp, massaging well withl Kessa glove except on the face, where we’ll massage using our fingertips. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a towel.
2. Check for spots and moles; the change of seasons is an ideal time to examine the condition of your skin in areas you don’t normally look at. You can use a mirror to ensure you don’t miss anything. If any spot, mole, or wart has an unusual shape or texture, it is essential to see a dermatologist.
3. Protect the most sensitive areas, such as the face—particularly the cheeks and lips. Using your day cream, create a mask by adding a few drops of rosehip oil. First, apply a Bruma Tonificante Perfumada, el aroma Rosal en Calma which contains Damask rose essential oil, hydroxytyrosol, and allantoin, is a great toner that prepares the skin for the mask; we’ll let it sit while we focus on other areas of the body.
4. Nourish the skin on your body. In winter, we’ll be layering up with clothes made of different fabrics, so it’s essential to keep your skin well-nourished and hydrated. We achieve this with a generous dose of Aceite Hidro-Nutritivo Corporal, with its base of 7 plant oils, the supply of nutrients and emollients is guaranteed; take the time to massage in the oil, using the same scent as the Bruma, Rosal en Calma, legs, arms, lower back, shoulders, neck area… If we can also get another pair of hands to give us a good back massage, the result will be well-nourished skin and a wonderful feeling of relaxation and renewed energy.
5. Returning to the face, we can remove any remaining mask that the skin hasn’t absorbed using a perfectly clean linen or cotton cloth; we’ll spray the
Invigorating mist and let it evaporate completely. Now it’s time for a facial massage: using your fingertips without applying any pressure, use upward strokes from the neck to the scalp, and sideways strokes from the lips, nose, and between the eyebrows toward the ears and temples. You can apply the product to your hands by
Invigorating mist to consciously experience the aroma, taking care to breathe deeply in and out while performing the massage. The result is toned and strengthened skin, and a state of calm that benefits the entire body.

6. Pay attention to your feet; even though we don’t see them, they’re still there and need even more care than during the rest of the year. Apply a generous amount of Crema Hidro-Botánica massage the heel and ankle areas, the sole of the foot, and the instep thoroughly. Leave any cream that isn’t absorbed on the foot and put on natural-fiber socks to allow the cream to continue acting as an emollient, especially in areas prone to calluses and dryness.
7. Clear the airways: Inhaling steam scented with bay leaves and eucalyptus, taking deep breaths for at least 5 minutes, is a ritual that not only stimulates the sense of smell and clears the airways but also moisturizes the bronchial tubes. Flavored green tea drinking peppermint tea—or any other herbal tea—served piping hot, several times a day, is a great way to keep your throat and windpipe hydrated, and it also deeply hydrates your body. It is highly recommended, first thing in the morning or late at night, to drink the tea with a teaspoon of EVOO, a superfood that also hydrates the throat and supports the digestive tract, so that the entire body functions like a well-tended garden.
In the warmth of the fire or the winter sun that illuminates the sleeping garden, nothing stands still, and it is time to take advantage of the moment to renew yourself and fully enjoy the season.
